What level of Membership will I qualify for?

Once you have submitted your application, we’ll review your submission and award the appropriate level of membership to you.

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA GRADE QUALIFICATION CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT ROLES AND EXPERIENCE

FELLOW - FLDI

Holding a qualification at NFQ Level 9 (or equivalent) or higher in Learning & Development or a related discipline 10 days/year documented continuous development for the past five years, 10 years at a senior level, providing strategic contribution, in a Learning & Development or related discipline role.

MEMBER - MLDI

Holding a qualification at NFQ Level 7 (or equivalent) or higher in Learning & Development or a related discipline 8 days/year documented continuous development for the past three years, three years in a Learning & Development or related discipline role.

ASSOCIATE - ALDI

Holding a qualification at NFQ Level 6 (or equivalent) or higher in Learning & Development or a related discipline 5 days/year documented Continuous Development for the past year, one year in a Learning & Development or related discipline role.

GRADUATE

Holding a qualification at NFQ Level 6 (or equivalent) or higher in Learning & Development or a related discipline.

STUDENT

Currently studying for a qualification at NFQ Level 6 (or equivalent) or higher in Learning & Development or a related discipline.

AFFILIATE 

A person who has an interest in L&DI and related L&D activities but has no relevant or less than required qualification.
